OCEAN TO OUTBACK. A fully supported road cycling sojourn, taking in WA’s pristine wheat belt and eastern desert wilderness, embracing indigenous cultural exchanges, whilst fundraising for indigenous youth mentoring programs for the Laverton community: September 3rd – 10th 2022

This event showcases what is best about supported road cycling (being able to ride long in a fully supported environment, not having to worry about any form of preparation on the day) and the WA outback (taking in the stark beauty of the WA outback by literally living and breathing the ‘bush’)

8 Days riding, averaging 151km’s day

25 riders only

10 support staff

Accommodation, food and hospitality provided for each rider, Sept. 3rd – 10th 2022

3 month training option is provided and tailored to your fitness level

The ride offers an incredible cultural exchange with indigenous elders and community members daily. This is a cultural experience as much as a cycling one.

You will be meeting locals along the route who generously share stories of places and sites you will not find on most maps.

These locals are the Traditional Owners, the custodians who care for our country, who host us.

You can participate in conversations (or yarns) around the BBQs and bush camps, as our hosts share the meanings held in the country, traditions, oral history and more.

Immerse yourself in traditional Australian Indigenous culture from the several countries we pass through.

The accommodation blends a mixture of outback hospitality at local sites and camping, with rooms available at most sites (POA)

All camping sites are erected and provided, with comfortable bedding and amenities included

You will not be roughing it

All breakfast, lunch and evening meals are provided, along with food consumable for cycling along the way
