RAAM 2019

The Race Across AMerica – Sabine Bird

Veris Racing athlete and World 24hr female cycling champion Sabine “Bean” Bird recently qualified for the Race Across America (RAAM) the worlds hardest cycling event.

This page and HER BLOG will provide updates around Sabine’s, and her incredible team’s, journey preparing for the 2019 event departing June 15th.

To understand the scale of this undertaking see the COURSE ROUTE and COURSE PROFILE links.

In order to participate in this event we will be fundraising approximately $55,000 with 10% of funds raised going toward a nominated charity, Solaris Cancer Care. https://solariscancercare.org.au

A corporate partnership document is outlined here

Donations can be made through the Australian Sports Foundation for private tax deductibility.

You can check the progress of the fundraising project HERE.

Here we share a little personal introduction from Sabine Bird,raam-bean

“The next 17 months will see my support crew and I reviewing the massive demands for this iconic event, including: discussing, preparing and practicing racing scenarios; raising awareness for our charity of choice – the Solaris Cancer Care – and fundraising, not only for Solaris Care, but to also get ourselves to this event in 2019. Everyone interested can follow the progress of this mission here through the RAAM blog on this Cycling Development Foundation website. I wish to thank you for all your support in whatever form it comes. Bean”
